Warsan Ali

SIMS Student Coordinator

Warsan Ali is a fourth year Biopsychology student, and is minoring in Poverty, Inequality, and Social Justice. She is from Sacramento, California. In her free time, she likes to do yoga and spend time with her cat. Warsan is a first generation student and a Promise Scholar, and is passionate about the intersection between STEM and advocacy work. Throughout college, she has spent time bridging these interests through research positions, leadership in campus organizations, mentoring, and serving vulnerable and underrepresented communities in the Santa Barbara area. She is excited to work with incoming freshmen in the SIMS program as they strengthen their science communication and professional skills, build community with other SIMSters, and navigate the many resources and opportunities here at UCSB.
